NATIONAL CHECK NETWORK (NCN)

Paytriot is a member of the National Check Network for our Red Check program. NCN is a national check verification network that allows Merchants to report & share information on check writers with other merchants to avoid doing business with known risky customers. Developed in 1991 NCN has information on over 15 million bad check writers, and records of approximately 200 million good check transactions. Over 100,000 merchants share transaction information. Using the NCN has many advantages for the merchant. Not accepting a check from a known bad check writer is just the beginning. Red Check & NCN allows merchants to custom design parameters for check acceptance. Limit your daily volume or high dollar amount, or don't accept checks from unfamiliar patrons. NCN offers total flexibility in accepting checks. If you do receive a bad check, the check writer's information will remain in the database until full payment is made. When they attempt to write a check to a member merchant, they will be denied and referred back to Red Check to make restitution.
